Here are a few exercises you can do to help prevent these injuries.

Signs to Look Out for for Further Care

If you experience any of the following symptoms, please seek treatment.

For spinal issues, seek treatment if you experience:

  • Inability to stand upright
  • Pain that radiates away from your spine—either toward your neck or shoulder, or down the arm, leg, or hip
  • Pain that stops you from doing everyday activities
  • Or symptoms that don’t improve after 2-3 days

For knee injuries, seek treatment if you experience:

  • Fatigue or heaviness that limits your range of motion
  • Your knee locking up or giving out, or if you’re unable to put weight on your leg
  • Swelling that doesn’t go away after two days
  • Pain that stops you from doing everyday activities or keeps you awake at night
  • Or symptoms that don’t improve after 2-3 days

And for shoulder injuries, seek treatment if:

  • You experience numbness, burning, tingling, or radiating pain down your arm, through your upper back, or in your shoulder
  • You experience fatigue, weakness or heaviness in one arm that keeps you from moving it normally
  • Your shoulder pain stops you from doing everyday activities or keeps you from sleeping at night
  • Or your symptoms that don’t improve after 2-3 days
