All in the Family:
Jenny’s Story
As a nurse and a mom, Jenny was used to putting others before herself. But when dealing with chronic low back pain, she chose physical therapy (PT) as an act of self-care.
“I thought I was prioritizing myself by making those appointments,” she says. “But it was a mad rush to get there and back. And then there were the bills! Eventually, any therapeutic benefit just felt lost.”
HEAL FROM HOME
Jenny used RecoveryOne to complete her PT at home. She no longer felt the stress of needing to juggle her job along with therapy.
“I’m up to 5 or 6 days a week,” she says. “I really liked the gentle nudges from my certified health coach when I was slacking. I credit her for getting me back on track.”
Jenny likes how easy it is to use RecoveryOne anywhere, whether it’s at her desk or in her living room. Jenny often chooses the second option. She and her family will often do her PT exercises together.
“We like to do things together as a family, so my husband and kids will join me,” Jenny says. “I like that we can have that time together. There’s been a lot of giggling in our house!”
ROOM TO GROW
In the past, Jenny used to run up to six miles several days of the week. She had to stop when her aches and pains got worse. But now, she’s back to brisk walks.
“I feel a lot less old and creaky,” she says, laughing. “I’m getting some of my flexibility back after eight weeks at RecoveryOne.”
Jenny also likes her pathway’s ability to change as she gets better. She can see herself getting stronger as she keeps up with her workouts.
